FM+DEX
AT SCHOOL The FM+DEX allows easy FM access at school by streaming an FM receiver to any Widex wireless hearing aid. This provides teachers and schools a cost-friendly way to easily integrate a Widex hearing aid into the classroom regardless of the ear-level FM system being used at the school. What the student needs: FM+DEX to transmit streaming audio to the student’s Widex hearing aids One ear-level FM receiver to plug into the FM+DEX One FM transmitter for the teacher to wear to communicate to the FM receiver

Getting Started for FM Streaming 1 Charge the FM+DEX by plugging the mini-USB charger into the bottom of the FM+DEX. 2 Remove the Protective FM Cover by pressing on the sides of the cover and pulling straight down. 3 Plug an FM receiver into the FM+DEX by aligning the 3 pins into the FM receiver plug-in. If you feel resistance, rotate the FM receiver so that the pins align correctly according to thickness. NOTE: ALL major manufacturers’ 3-pin FM receivers will work with the FM+DEX. 4 Turn the FM switch to the left (symbol on FM+DEX shows 3 circles). 5 Slide the tamper switch to the left to lock the FM+DEX to FM mode for young students 6 Attach the protective FM cover again 7 Slide up on the on/off switch to turn on the FM+DEX. Have the student wear it within 1 ft of the hearing aids with either the included belt clip or antenna neckloop.
