On behalf of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Executive Board, it is my privilege to welcome you to this year’s WIAA State Championships, brought to you by Gesa Credit Union. These events represent the culmination of countless hours of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance by student participants, coaches, and school communities from all across the State of Washington. The WIAA and its member schools are proud to provide opportunities for all students to excel in athletics, performing arts, and other activities—always grounded in the values of fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork. These principles are at the heart of what makes interscholastic activities such a vital part of the educational experience. The WIAA Executive Board, The WIAA Executive Board, staff, and member schools share a unified goal of providing interscholastic activities that enrich students’ lives and create lasting memories. WIAA State Championships represent the culmination of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork demonstrated throughout the season by student-participants and their supporters.

At the WIAA, we believe education-based athletics and activities provide the safest, most equitable, and most meaningful environment for students to learn and grow. While it is a privilege for our staff to organize and host these culminating events, they are made possible through the invaluable efforts of coaches, athletic directors, officials, and the many volunteers who contribute to the success of each championship. This event celebrates the students who have earned the opportunity to compete at the highest level of high school sports and activities in Washington. Their hard work, discipline, and commitment have brought them to this stage. We also extend appreciation to the parents, families, and loved ones whose support has been instrumental throughout their journey. Sportsmanship and citizenship remain cornerstones of every WIAA State Championship. We encourage all spectators to demonstrate positive support for every participant, helping to ensure an environment that is safe, respectful, and enjoyable for all students, coaches, officials, families, and fans alike.
