Paul Manfred WIAA Exec. Board President

Athletic Director Gonzaga Prep
On behalf of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Executive Board, it is my privilege to welcome you to this year’s WIAA State Championships, brought to you by Gesa Credit Union. These events represent the culmination of countless hours of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance by student participants, coaches, and school communities from all across the State of Washington.
The WIAA and its member schools are proud to provide opportunities for all students to excel in athletics, performing arts, and other activities—always grounded in the values of fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork. These principles are at the heart of what makes interscholastic activities such a vital part of the educational experience.
As you enjoy today’s competition, we invite you to celebrate not only the excellence on display but also the character, respect, and camaraderie that define high school activities in our state.
Congratulations to all the participants, and thank you to the parents, coaches, officials, and fans whose support helps make these opportunities possible.
Best wishes for a memorable and spirited championship experience.
Welcome to the WIAA State Championships, presented by Gesa Credit Union. The WIAA Executive Board, The WIAA Executive Board, staff, and member schools share a unified goal of providing interscholastic activities that enrich students’ lives and create lasting memories. WIAA State Championships represent the culmination of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork demonstrated throughout the season by student-participants and their supporters.
At the WIAA, we believe education-based athletics and activities provide the safest, most equitable, and most meaningful environment for students to learn and grow. While it is a privilege for our staff to organize and host these culminating events, they are made possible through the invaluable efforts of coaches, athletic directors, officials, and the many volunteers who contribute to the success of each championship. This event celebrates the students who have earned the opportunity to compete at the highest level of high school sports and activities in Washington. Their hard work, discipline, and commitment have brought them to this stage. We also extend appreciation to the parents, families, and loved ones whose support has been instrumental throughout their journey.
Sportsmanship and citizenship remain cornerstones of every WIAA State Championship. We encourage all spectators to demonstrate positive support for every participant, helping to ensure an environment that is safe, respectful, and enjoyable for all students, coaches, officials, families, and fans alike.

The Washington Officials Association (WOA) extends its congratulations to all student-participants competing in this year’s WIAA State Championships, presented by Gesa Credit Union. Reaching this stage requires tremendous dedication, discipline, and perseverance. The WOA applauds each participant for the commitment that has led to this achievement and encourages you to enjoy the memories and moments that make this experience so meaningful.
While these State Championships represent the pinnacle of the season for many officials, the WOA also recognizes the thousands of officials who dedicate their time and expertise throughout the year, working countless contests across every region of Washington. These individuals play an essential role in the success of education-based athletics, contributing to fair play, safety, and sportsmanship at every level of competition.
Officials choose to serve because of their passion for the games and activities they love, and to give back to programs that have positively shaped their lives. The WOA is deeply appreciative of their ongoing commitment to supporting student-participants and interscholastic activities statewide. Those interested in becoming an official are encouraged to contact the Washington Officials Association. More information is available at www.washingtonofficials.com.
The WOA looks forward to an outstanding State Championship experience.
