Landscape artist Andrew Barrowman is known as an accomplished plein air artist, and can be found sketching and painting outdoors in some of Cornwall’s most dramatic locations using a variety of mediums from oils to egg tempura paint. This exclusive collection is Andrew’s second for Whitewater Contemporary, and includes a series of oil paintings alongside charcoal, graphite and pastel works on paper, all inspired by the dramatic and beautiful landscape around Polzeath and Noth Cornwall’s Camel Estuary.

In 2021, Andrew Barrowman was awarded the Bowyer Drawing Prize at The New English Art Club annual exhibition. In 2023 he was elected as an associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, and as a full member of the Pastel Society. In early 2024 he won the Artist Magazine Award at the Pastel Society’s 125th exhibition and then took part in Sky Arts Landscape Painter of the Year. He is also the author of Views from the Studio Window, a book of 120 oil sketches looking out from his studio over the course of a year.
