COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS Masks are mandatory and must be worn inside all recreation facilities, except when exercising.

Children under 12 years of age or anyone with a health condition that precludes them from wearing a mask remain exceptions.

The City of White Rock is committed to meeting the strict health and safety guidelines as set out by the Provincial Health Officer, WorkSafeBC and Fraser Health.

All programs and activities must be pre-registered and will follow strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of both participants and staff. Facilities and programs will operate with reduced capacity and there will be increased frequency and cleaning of all high touch surfaces.

Please bring a mask with you on every visit to our recreation facilities and wear it anytime you are moving around the facility.

• Each cardio gym session is 60 minutes in length.

• Equipment has been spaced at least 2 metres to ensure a safe distance between participants.

• Maximum time on each piece of equipment is 20 minutes if there is a wait.

Participants are introduced to fundamental concepts of soccer and are provided the basic skills required to score with confidence in fun, exciting, skills-focused games. Parents and children zero in on soccer skills including: throw-ins, dribbling, trapping, passing, goalie skills and more. Children are challenged according to their individual skill level and coaches help grownups understand proven teaching techniques that can be applied to other activities.

Every child can learn to play the violin. This 8-week Suzuki prep class prepares children for success through developing rhythm, singing, and learning to hold their instruments. Parents attend the classes along with their children, as parental participation is a core concept of the Suzuki method.

Would you like to work with a Personal Trainer during the pandemic? We can provide a safe and friendly environment for you to train with up to a maximum of 4 people in our cardio gym.

A personal trainer is a fitness professional involved in exercise prescription and instruction. They motivate clients by setting goals and providing feedback and accountability. Trainers also measure their client’s strengths and weaknesses with fitness assessments.
