The Directors and Senior Management of Your Golfer eMagazine are delighted to introduce their ‘Staffordshire Golf Club of the Year’ for 2018.

The team voted unanimously in favour of presenting the popular golf club with the accolade as a testimony to its excellent golf course, first class facilities and excellent hospitality that is shown to members and visitors alike.

Positioned close to the River Dove and near to the cities of Stoke-on-Trent and Derby, Uttoxeter Racecourse is one of the town’s main attractions and is just a short walk from the town centre as is the golf course. Alton Towers resort is located just ten miles away and The Peak District National Park is about twenty miles from Uttoxeter town centre.

Situated halfway between Stoke and Derby on the A50, Uttoxeter Golf Club sits, nestled next to the Racecourse and River Dove overlooking the Weaver Hills. The challenging parkland golf course offers an enjoyable experience for all and is widely regarded as one of the country’s best kept secrets and could be classed as a hidden gem in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside.

The superbly-appointed clubhouse offers a wellstocked bar and good quality home-cooked meals at reasonable prices throughout the day. All budgets and tastes catered for by the Club’s hospitality team, ‘Golfers Retreat Ltd’. The ideal retreat for refreshments before or after your round, Uttoxeter Golf Club also offers room hire with all occasions catered for.

The par 69 Uttoxeter course measures 5, 801 yards from the championship tees and represents a challenge for low handicappers and a fair test of golfing ability for the higher handicapped player.

The Uttoxeter club is also the home of the popular and well renowned professional shop. Led by Head PGA Professional, Adam McCandless,for the past 22 years the dedicated professional team offer a wide range of services as well as specialist advice on any aspect of your game and the right equipment for you.The professional shop is also well-stocked with leading clothing ranges, equipment and accessories from some of the game’s most notable brands.

The Club welcomes visitors throughout the year with a range of packages that can be tailored to meet the needs of the visiting party. With Uttoxeter Racecourse in close proximity, the GOLF CLUB can offer a variety of Golf, Dine & Race Packages starting from as little as £33.50 per person (to include Premier Race Pass) or Golf & Dine packages from as little as £18.50 per person Every package is designed specifically to suit each individual group and different catering options and access to racecourse packages mean there is something for everyone at Uttoxeter Golf Club.
