Christian Dior was a legendary French designer best known as the founder of one of the world’s top fashion groups which is now referred to just Dior (Biography, 2020). In his early work in fashion, Dior began to sell his sketches and took over a gallery that his father had bought for him, where he sold his work. Dior became well known for reviving haute couture. An example of this is the iconic Dior: ‘The New Look’, with a small, nipped-in waist and a full skirt falling below mid-calf length, emphasizing an hourglass shape.

The rich blue jeans, which are now called “denim”, were originally made from this fabric and manufactured in the French town of Nîmes (bleu de Nîmes). Now that time has passed and fashion is still evolving, the denim at Dior are easy to wear and the denim creations sketch a silhouette of the Dior look.
