A bit about the origines...

Christian Dior opened his couture house in October 1946, at 41 years of age he has collected a wealth of experience before his early death and is now known worldwide as a luxury brand making an everlasting effect in the fashion industry.

Maria Grazi Chiuri is now the first female creative director for Dior. She has an innovation for the representation of feminism, active women, local craftsmanship and spirituality and has achieved great feats with these inspirations. Maria Grazi Chiuri strongly believes in her values and stays very true to her inspirations, consistent with her signature style.

Miss Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty!

Not only is she the Denim Queen but an overall fashion killer.

RiRi has always been a fashion icon with a big heart, with her love for denim I could not think of a more fitting ambassador.

Rihanna is a musician turned brand designer who shares many values as our very own Maria Grazia Chiuri, such as female empowerment, spirituality and equality. Rihanna just like MGC she stays true to her core values both un-apologetical for what they believe in.

Rihanna has achieved many feats since the start of her music career, Rihanna was signed by Jay-Z when she was only 16 years old.

Since then she has won 9 Grammy Awards, 8 Billboard Music Awards, 13 American Music Awards and 7 MTV Video Music Awards.

Branching away from the music industry Rihanna has also launched a cosmetics company Fenty Beauty under LVMH in 2017.

She has also been awarded by Harvard as the Humanitarian of the Year.

Rihanna founder of the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012, a non-profit organization that supports and funds groundbreaking education and emergency response programs around the world.

And to top it off In 2008, Barbados’ former Prime Minister, David Thompson officially declared February 22 as Rihanna Day to honour RiRi.

When Dior touched denim he completely revolutionized the definition of denim.

Turning something that used to be regular into luxe fashion, that is achieved by combining high end luxe items with denim in campaigns or adding prints on denim and or adding details that take expertise to make, that is how you turn a fabric such as denim and turn it into high fashion.
