SOLACE
KIERA GOERKE RESORT

Editor’s Letter
As a creative, I’ve always been drawn to thoughful and intuitive design . As a result, much of my work explores clothing’s role as both protection and expression in an unpredictable world. I like to think of each piece as a form of armour which lends confidence and comfort to the wearer.
I am inspired by modernist artists such as Ruth Asawa and Barbara Hepworth, whose explorations of organic form and texture continue to inform how I approach my design process.
Beyond compelling conceptual research, my methodology is also grounded in a strong understanding

of garment construction and patternmaking, which allows me to translate abstract ideas into well-resolved, wearable forms.
As I continue to develop my practice, I am focused on producing work that responds to the desires of the contemporary woman, while remaining authentic and refined.

Colour Palette

Project Statement
Solace reimagines clothing as sanctuary, forming a tactile boundary between the self and an uncertain world. Designed for Resort 26, the collection balances sculptural layers with the ease central to Resort dressing.
The collection’s grounded colour palette of ecru, sand, and weathered blue is enriched by green and caramel, evoking the natural landscape and embuing the range with a sense of calm.
Cord detailing and fringe anchors the collection, forming elongated vertical lines
that extend and refine the silhouette. As each cord leads into softly frayed ends, it also introduces a sense of gentle movement which brings the collection to life. Meanwhile, geometric print lends structure and precision, balancing the collection’s organic tactility with measured, intentional form.
Through thoughful silhouettes and tactile surface treatments, Solace celebrates slowness as a form of modern luxury and a return to mindful making and conscious design.
