‘ELYSIUM’
’Threads’ is a fashion and beauty editorial that is surrealist yet contemporary. Inspired by the spider lily flower which is known for its beauty and macabre associations. It aims to create a story of ambiguity that is evocative and elegant with dark undertones. Exploring notions of contrast and texture, light and dark, masculinity and femininity, with motifs of hair as an identifier, how it transcends gender boundaries and is often seen as the ‘threads’ of our being. This ties into the idea of make and construction and how garments are representative of our individuality, whilst also exploring themes of androgyny.
