This dream was very powerful, very dramatic. It starts out me and some other guy are the assistants or helpers of a crazy “fast-boy” hot-rod kid who is going to drive his azure-blue Model-A Ford Coupe hot-rod through the most incredible obstacle course ever devised... It’s, like, an EPIC event, and

we wish him luck. He might not come out of it alive! But he’s a crazy kid, an American teen-anger from about 1960, and determined to do this crazy thing... It’s sort of vague... Off he goes, engine roaring loudly, and the

next thing I see is his car zooming, careening wildly, in and out of hair-pin curves, going behind things and coming out again, winding all around this cosmic, abstract-expressionist maze... We’re watching, me and this other person who I don’t know in real life... Suddenly we don’t see the car anymore. We’re

immediately worried. The hot-rod kid! What happened? Where is he? I don’t hear the car! Is he dead? We run into the maze to find him and come to this car. It’s azure-blue, but it’s

not the same car. It’s a little, efficient looking very streamlines sedan, quiet and futuristic. Kind of like a Citroen. This guy gets out of it. He’s a giant. Seven feet tall.

While growing up in Ballarat, Victoria – I had always taken a particular interest in fashion by styling my own clothes and was making clothes for Barbies at a young age. Upon completion of my Victorian Certificate of Education at Ballarat Grammar, I went on to study full-time dance and quickly realised it was not the right pathway for me. In my brief couple of months of rest, I reignited my passion for design. Studying at Whitehouse Institute has been a very rewarding experience, I have quickly developed my design and technical skills and have discovered and grown my unique design style. I am proud of my achievements thus far, particularly being contacted by ROC Boots Australia to have a couple of my garments feature in their 2020 Campaign Shoot - which is soon to launch. I take particular interest in working with features such as bright colours, prints, and bold silhouettes. I have a particular flair for working with leather and silks. I aim to make the wearer feel empowered, sexy and confident - whilst simultaneously aspiring to create daring, anti-fashion statements. When we dream we experience a variety of images, emotions and sensations. Our dreams can be chaotic and messy or calming and therapeutic, making the phenomenon of dreaming so bewildering. The A/W Collection “Reverie” delves into what we experience when we dream and the degrees of chaos within our dreams. With exaggerated silhouettes and crazy prints, Reverie, explores the unpredictability and drama of our dreams and how we can “take apart” our dreams and try to figure out the meanings of them. This is reflected through the ability to partner and layer the garments with other from separate bodies, creating new looks.

Reverie originated by being inspired by the book R. Crumb’s Dream Diary, by Rocbert Crumb. A diary that depicts Crumb’s dreams as he remembers them, some with illustrations alongside - a variety of dreams, crazy, weird, sexual and funny - the reader delves into the subconscious of Crumb and is able to draw parallels to their own state of subconsciousess The collection progressed, by sourcing other artists of the Neo-Expressionism art era, in particular Jean-Michael Basquiat. Basquiat’s paintings are unique, with an array of colours, words and themes - this is reflected in the prints used for the collecction. Designers that influences the style of the designs are Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and Yves Saint Laurent. The anti-fashion statements are influences heavily by the Japanese fashion scene, which is to be prevalent in the full collection to be completed in Trimester 6.

DREAM OF OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCE Chestertown, Maryland, Saturday, July 17, 2004

I was with my sister Carol and Richard Nevins, in a room, talking. Suddenly I left my body and was floating up to the celing above them. I was still talking to them, telling them that I could see them from above, that it was easy. I stayed up there, hovering near the ceiling for a while. Then I came down and stood erect, but still not touching the floor. I

hovered a few inches above the floor, gliding around. Carol and Nevins paid little attention to me. That’s all I remmeber. Was this an out-of-body experience? I don’t think so. I didn’t have he clear, genuine feeling of being free from gravity, an authentic physical sensation that I had experienced in those few fleeting out-of-body experiences I had before.

YET ANOTHER DREAM OF OLD 78 RECORDS Chestertown, Maryland, Saturday, July 17, 2004 I’d stashed a whole lot of 78s I’d found somewhere in somebody’s house and went there to get them. I was with a male friend, can’t

remember now who is was, someone who is interested in 78s in a casual way, not a fanatic collector - maybe Pete Poplaski. The records

were all without sleeves, maybe a couple hundred of them, in a horizontal stack on the floor of his house. There was a little record player there. Pete, or whoever it wwas, was helping me retrieve the records. He picked up a big stack of them, that there were a lot of good records there. I recalled that I had carefully handpicked them from someone’s collection. I began trying to stack them upright.
