Grace is a fashion designer based in Sydney, Australia. She’s extremely passionate about art, drawing, design and the environment. Creating is where she finds her calm and zen, which allows her to express her inner thoughts and emotions that words can’t always capture. Grace is always being inventive with the way she uses prints and textures, favouring these design principles as they are what make a garment come to life and having so many options with different materials. The name Gracee Ellen comes from her childhood, which was a nickname her loved ones gave her. This is also where her passion for art and design started. Since then, it has engraved itself into her life never to look back.

Summer Fling is a Spring/Summer collection that showcases a crafted fusion of contemporary silhouettes and traditional embellishments. Inspired by summer in the countryside, the collection captures a feeling of calm and connection to nature, while maintaining a fresh and striking aesthetic.

Signature elements include delicate lace detailing, thoughtfully handembellished to bring timeless charm to each garment. Upcycled materials, particularly old denim jeans, are used throughout the collection, introducing worn textures that speak to a life lived outdoors. This mix of old and new reinforces the value of conserving materials and giving garments renewed purpose.

The collection’s hero piece, Mt Air, is a practical yet beautiful threepiece look designed for cooler summer evenings. The outer top features a high collar and exposed shoulders, crafted in lace to highlight both softness and structure. Underneath, a second lace top is paired with long knitted wool sleeves that extend just before the fingertips.

The wool skirt takes on a simple silhouette, overlaid with hand-cut scallop panels, each one unique. These panels combine translucent wool mesh, raw and hand-dyed lace, and recycled denim to create depth and variation, while maintaining visual cohesion through a soft, natural palette.

Sustainability is at the core of my design practice. I aim to make ethical choices in every step of the process, using eco-conscious materials, reducing waste, and avoiding animal products. By upcycling and working with what already exists, I challenge fast fashion habits and focus on creating garments with longevity and care.

Summer Fling is a celebration of peaceful living, resourcefulness, and the beauty of craftsmanship, an invitation to dress with purpose, comfort, and personality.
