Bio Yuwei Liu is an international freelance Photographer. In pursuit to expand her creativity she applied to Whitehouse Institute of Design to complete her Bachelors degree in Creative Direction and Styling.

Yuwei’s work is influenced by her vivid imagination that has been interpreted as “dream like or fantasy”. This is executed through her extraordinary skill set in digital design application. Yuwei takes inspiration from immersing herself in different cultures and establishing new friendships. She is drawn to using bold colour, manipulating shapes, and using movement to capture her design aesthetic.

Concept Statement I have a lot of imagination. I want to visualise something that doesn’t have a specific definition. You can’t say it is from somewhere in the world, you can’t say what it is, but it looks nice. It can create an aesthetic, combine them with a fashion shoot or a product shoot, and create an exciting image in the resulting tension. You can’t usually photograph these patterns in the real world. But if you use 3D render combination, you have the potential to show the craziest things. For this project, I want to shoot in a low key and use a bright colour palette on garments and accessories to sell the jewellery.
