is important to keep it up to date and inviting to the community and surrounds. The design will include contemporary styles, colour and strategic lighting to complement the heritage site. By utilising the original hall space, it will allow a focus on adding more spaces to sit, relax, study and more. The client for this poject is Cr Harriet Price - member of the Paddington Ward of the Woollahra Council. Harriet Price desires the library to be part of and support sustainable as well as local initiatives. The architecture and greenery is represented through multiple areas and features of the design of the library. The library has been designed to allow for changing artist installations and murals. In this example, these artworks have been sourced from a local gallery in Paddington to support local business, and celebrate contemporary Indigenous artists. The colours and textures of these pieces complement the Australiana colour palette which is conveyed through the furniture upholstery.
