ALEXANDER BAIN
Saint Enochs Distillery is a contemporary take on the traditional whiskey distillery. Inspired by the colours and smells of whiskey, this building will feel like you have been transported inside the liquid itself. A rich mix of orange and red hues will imbue the bar and tasting area, while the classic colour of the copper stills will highlight the complex beauty of the distillation process. The design is distinctly local, focusing on the earth the barley is grown in through the red rammed earth walls, and the stunning hand hewn bluestone walls encapsulating the building.

Alexander Bain is an interior designer based out of Geelong, Victoria. Through studying both architecture and construction management Alexander brings a unique perspective to the world of interior design. With a passion for the Australian landscape, and being a champion for vernacular building practices, he provides a pragmatic and considered approach to his concepts. In each project, Alexander listens to the needs of the clients and uses out of the box thinking to create spaces that are in harmony with the clients visions. His concepts respond in unexpected ways to create beautiful, practical design that will last the test of time.
