Ephrat “Bounce” Asherie is a New York City based b-girl, dancer, and choreographer who received the prestigious Bessie Award in 2016 for Innovative Achievement in Dance. She and her company make their Pacific Northwest debut with their acclaimed work ODEON, created by Ephrat in collaboration with her brother Ehud Asherie, the musical director. ODEON is set to the music of famed Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth and features an exhilarating mash up of street and club dances, including breaking, hip hop, house, and vogue. Ephrat Asherie’s remarkable choreographic voice is not to be missed.
