All week long, Donatelli’s in White Bear Lake is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The restaurant is also gearing up for the opening of its second location in Bloomington in early October.

Every day, the team at Donatelli’s makes about 40 gallons of sauce and 100 to 150 pounds of dough. Each week, they go through approximately 20,000 pounds of flour for pasta. For Donatelli’s, those numbers represent more than just a day’s work. They are part of a tradition that has been going strong for 50 years, as the longtime White Bear Lake community

The company started out donating school supplies until six years ago, when the partnership grew even bigger as White Bear Subaru joined the AdoptAClassroom.org initiative. Since then, the company has donated $10,000 annually to the
