TO OUR READERS Welcome to the Quad Area Community Insider Guide. This publication is brought to you by the Quad Community Press in cooperation with our advertisers. We hope you’ll use this guide as a road map of your community to become better acquainted with community services, local government, education, health care, commerce, and entertainment that make this area a great place to live, work and play. The past year was a difficult one that impacted our ability to get out and do many of the things we enjoy. As we continue into 2021, local businesses, restaurants, parks and other entertainment venues are open again. Community events are beginning to be rescheduled after a year off. Fall 2021 will bring art fairs, running and biking events, and visits to pumpkin patches and apple orchards. By winter, residents will head to alpine ski resorts and cross country ski trails, many located within a short drive. Theater productions, concerts, and holiday events are likely to be back in full swing, as will community events by the spring and summer of 2022. Some activities and locations may still have modified hours or schedules, so we always recommend readers call or check the websites we provide prior to venturing out. Your community newspaper is your best source of local news and information. Our group of locally-owned newspapers includes the Quad Community Press, the Shoreview Press, the Vadnais Heights Press, North Oaks News, the

Citizen, the White Bear Press, and the Lowdown. Our readers enjoy our hyper-local, relevant news coverage both in print and online, and we enjoy the community’s support through our subscription program. You can find the most up-to-date local news, information Carter Johnson and features in the Publisher, Quad Community Press Publications Press, published weekly and distributed to homes and newsstands throughout Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, Lexington and Blaine. Visit us online at presspubs.com. If you have news to share or other ideas for this guide or the weekly paper, contact Shannon Granholm, lead editor, at 651-407-1207 or quadnews@presspubs.com. The newsprint pages between the cover are produced from sustainable forests. Many of the inks we use are derived from soy-based products, and we ask you to please recycle by sharing it with a friend or neighbor when you are done. If you are an advertiser and would like to be involved in next year’s edition, please call 651-407-1210 and ask for a Press multimedia representative.
