Spring fashion show supports mission St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church will host its annual spring fashion show from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in the Great Hall. The event began as a way to help support the church’s mission team and to send food shipments of Feed My Starving Children to an organization called Believe Guatemala. Items in the church’s artisan co-op are featured in the fashion show.

Noah Berger, a 2022 Centennial graduate, has been lying in a hospital bed in Missouri for weeks now. Berger, a freshman at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, was struck by a vehicle in the early morning hours of April 16 while walking back to his dorm room. Blaine residents Jim and Denise Berger were in town for their son’s lacrosse game when the accident happened. Before the accident, Noah had called Jim. Jim asked if he needed a ride, but Noah declined, as he was almost back to his dorm. Denise asked Noah to let her know when he made it back, but she never heard from him. He didn’t answer her phone calls or texts. “I looked at his Find my iPhone and his location wasn’t moving,” she recalled. “I just had this

feeling that something was wrong.” Denise checked in with Noah’s roommate, who went to the location where his phone was and found Noah had been struck by a vehicle. campaign, uplifting and empowering the mental health community to feel that they are “more than enough.” It affirms the idea that people are inherently worthy of life, love and healing — no matter what they look like, no matter where they are in their journeys, no matter what they are or aren’t able to do.
