CIRCLE PINES — For nearly 21 years, customers have poured into Matthew's Family Restaurant not only for the made-from-scratch food and restaurant originals, but also for the love given to customers by staff. Matt and Amy Salos own Matthew's, located at 2 South Pine Drive North. The Salos previously worked in other restaurants and actually met through the industry while working together. “We decided if we were going to be in this business and work this hard, we might as well be our own bosses. It just made sense. It was a natural evolution,” Amy said. The couple started their search for a location for their restaurant and when they walked in the front doors of the building they knew it was meant to be when they saw an “M” etched into the window near the entrance. Some would say it was fate, as the couple planned to name the restaurant “Matthew's” after their son. SEE MATTHEW’S RESTAURANT, PAGE 10

Zoa said. Civil Affairs soldiers serve as the link between the military and the civil authorities.
