People want to be here and why wouldn't they … we have great staff, great people, great support from our communities,” he said. “I sound like a broken record because it is the same topic every year: funding.” He added, “This year we are going to have to cut another $1.5 million. Cougars skate to state

BLAINE — Between 3,500 and 3,700 adults and children attend weekend services at Eagle Brook Church in Blaine: it's no wonder the campus is running out of room and in need of expansion. Every weekend around 22,000 people attend services at all six Eagle Brook campuses: the campus total will soon be seven. Campuses are located in Anoka, Lino Lakes, Spring Lake Park, White Bear Lake and Woodbury; the Wayzata campus will open later this month. “Over the last few years the influx of homes being built around the Blaine area has really flooded this campus with a lot of young families,” Blaine Campus Pastor Travis Scharn explained. “We have the youngest demographic at Blaine. It's not only a space issue in our auditorium, but also in our kids' space.” Because of its busy nature, the Blaine campus holds six services each weekend, compared to four at the other locations. Not only do families from Blaine attend SEE EAGLE BROOK, PAGE 7

The Cougars happily obliged as coach Kristina King asked them to smile for a selfie. See story and photos on page 8.
