its potential for ample parking, and its protection from winds. In late 2024, the District initiated a $25,000 technical feasibility assessment of the site’s boat launch. Previously, the Squamish Marine Access Review highlighted that a minimum two-lane boat launch facility with proper parking is
needed to reduce congestion, conflict, and launch and retrieval times. “Darrell Bay was identified as a front-runner location to investigate first, given the water and upland access area and potential for transportation network integration, and having potential to reduce truck and trailer launch congestion downtown and boat traffic in the
