After the success of the “Beethoven Summer” programme, the Fondazione
Orchestra Sinfonica e Coro Sinfonico
di Milano Giuseppe Verdi welcomes in its new symphonic season under the guidance of General Director and Art Director Ruben Jais. Among the appointments that are absolutely not to be missed are: the “Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra in A major, K.622”, part of the “L’Ultimo Mozart” (The Last Mozart) programme, and “Symphony No. 1 in C major” by Carl Maria von Weber, both conducted by Claus Peter Flor and with the participation of the orchestra’s First Clarinet, Fausto Ghiazza (1-4 October). On 8, 9 and 11 October, on the other hand, laVerdi presents the “Siegfried Idyll” by Richard Wagner, the “Langsamer Satz” by Anton Webern and “Serenade No. 2, Op. 16” by Johannes Brahms, while from 15 to 18 October the Orchestra Sinfonica and the Ensemble laBarocca are involved in a dialogue of music and sounds, part of the “Le Stagioni del Mondo” (The Seasons of the World) programme, around the notes of “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi and the “Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas” by Astor Piazzolla. The tribute to Mozart then continues from 22 to 25 October with “Concerto No. 12 in A major, K. 414”, together with the “Suite for String Orchestra 1864” by Leoš Janáček, with the participation of young pianist Aaron Pilsan. The month’s calendar concludes in grand style with the notes of “Symphony No. 1 in D major” by Mahler and the “Note di viaggio” [Travel Notes] concerto (29 October and 1 November), both under the baton of Maestro Peter Flor.
