Resident means you live within the Wheeling Park District boundaries. If you have never used our registration system and want to qualify for resident fees, please stop by the Guest Service Desk at the CRC and show proof of residency status. Valid driver’s license, utility bill, copy of lease, or mortgage agreement are acceptable forms of proof. Non-resident guests are always welcome to take part in programs and activities.

What is Financial Assistance
Wheeling Park District offers financial assistance to residents who need help paying for recreation programs.
How do I apply?
Getting started is easy:
• Submit your Application: Apply for financial assistance at the CRC Guest Services Desk by requesting and completing an application form. Guests can also download the application form by clicking on the following link wpdfun.com/Financial-Assistance-Application, and delivering a printed copy of the application at the CRC Guest Services Desk.
• Receive your Notification: Applicants will be notified of decision via email no later than seven (7) business days following application submission.
I Was Approved for Financial Assistance — What’s Next?
• Find eligible programs: Look for the symbol in this guide or review the list below to see which programs qualify for financial assistance.
• Complete a financial assistance registration form: Request and complete the Financial Assistance Program Registration Form at the Community Recreation Center Guest Services Desk, listing the programs for which you would like to register. You may also download the form at www.wheelingparkdistrict.com/financial-assistance-2026
• Submit your registration form: Submit the completed form in person at the Guest Services Desk. Your registration will be reviewed, and a tentative enrollment confirmation will be emailed to you with details about your financial assistance coverage and the amount you are responsible for paying.

Learn how to make delicious sourdough pizza from scratch in this fun, hands-on class. Students will be guided step-by-step through the process of preparing naturally leavened sourdough pizza dough while learning the basics of fermentation, dough handling, and shaping. Each participant will mix and prepare their own sourdough pizza dough to take home, so you can recreate the process and enjoy fresh pizza in your own kitchen. During the class, you will also stretch, top, and bake your own sourdough margherita pizza. All ingredients and materials will be provided.
