Wheeling Township offers bus service for Wheeling Township residents Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Call 847-259-7743 between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:30 pm to schedule transportation. Reservations should be made two days before the travel date.

Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion

Join us for a day of food, beer, music and merriment at the annual Oktoberfest! Drink German and domestic beer, eat bratwurst, and enjoy live entertainment by the International Polka Association Tribute Band and 7th Heaven. Food and beer will be available for purchase.

Children, ages 10 and younger, are welcome to spend a bewitching afternoon at the CRC (Creepy Reeky Castle) filled with spook-tacular fun! Decorate your own pumpkin and create a craft. Enjoy spooky storytelling, carnival games, a balloonist and inflatables. It's all free and kid-friendly! A limited number of pumpkins are available and on a first-come, firstserve basis.

DAY OF THE DEAD 5K

Location: Heritage Park

Join us for a 5K run/walk celebrating the Day of the Dead. Run through picturesque Heritage Park and on the streets of Wheeling. Enjoy music and entertainment along the course, face painting and a post race party. Register early as the race sold out in 2021! www.dayofthedead5k.run

THANKSGIVING COMMUNITY FEAST

Location: Chevy Chase Country Club

Registration Deadline: 11/13

The WPD Board of Commissioners invite residents and their families to a free feast at Chevy Chase Country Club. The event features a traditional Thanksgiving-style meal, music and arts. The event is free, but canned food and cash donations are accepted. Donations go to the Wheeling Food Pantry and the Wheeling Park District Financial Assistance Program. Commit to learning the game of Pickleball with other beginners for 5 weeks.
