Humpbacks Spotted From Land
CARMEL
This past Thursday, five humpback whales were spotted just off Carmel Beach, giving onlookers an incredible sight! These majestic creatures will be in our local bay through December before they begin their migration to the warmer waters of Mexico It’s a special time to catch a glimpse of them, so keep your eyes on the horizon when you’re near the water nature’s show is in full swing!

As many of you may have heard, there was a mountain lion sighting in Pacific Grove this week! The big cat was spotted resting under the trees at a house on the corner of Ocean View Avenue and 11th Street on Wednesday We’re lucky to share Monterey with such incredible wildlife, and while there’s no need to be scared, it’s always good to stay aware of your surroundings Mountain lions are a natural part of our community too, so let’s appreciate the beauty of nature while staying safe!

What we’ve been up to:
DIY Holiday Decorations


It’s October, which means holiday season has officially begun Every year, we like to do some sort of DIY craft for each holiday This year, we created our own pumpkin arch, and you can do it too! Here is a list of the supplies you’ll need for this project:
22 pumpkin trick-or-treat buckets
15ft of pvc pipe with 2 connecting joints
3 strands of white rope lights
1 bag of quick dry cement
2 1\2 gallon buckets
23 zip ties
We managed to get all these supplies at Walmart and Home Depot The process took us a few hours but it was so fun and everyone in the neighborhood loves it!
