What we’ve been up to:
Toy Drive!
I’m thrilled to share that we are teaming up with the Monterey Firefighter Foundation and Kiwanis International for a toy drive this holiday season! Additionally, we’ll host a wrapping party for the gifts on December 20th from 6–9 PM in the Monterey High School gym. When I was a kid, my grandparents used to take my brother and me to the nearest “Toys R Us” during the holidays, where we’d fill two carts with toys for families in need. We’d then drop them off at the local fire station. I’m bringing that cherished tradition back this year, and I hope you’ll join us in spreading the joy! Below is a list of local stations where you can drop off your donated, unwrapped toys!
Fire Station 11: 600 Pacific St
Fire Station 12: 583 Hawthorne St
Fire Station 13: Dela Vina Ave
Fire Station 14: 600 Pine Ave, PG
Fire Station 15: Mission & San Carlos, Carmel
Also Helping Out: Rosine’s Restaurant! Located on Alvarado Street in Monterey
