RR Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD) Expands Production Capacity with More Than 15 HP Indigo and PageWide Presses RR Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD) erweitert seine branchenführende Produktionskapazität durch die Installation von mehr als 15 HP Indigo und PageWide Druckmaschinen Today, HP, the market leader in digital print, and RR Donnelley & Sons Company (RRD) have announced a strategic collaboration to expand its industry leading production capacity with the commitment to install in excess of fifteen new HP Indigo and PageWide Presses. These presses will join RRD’s existing fleet across facilities in North America, China, and Central America. HP and RRD have been working together for the past thirty years, and this new expansion of RRD’s existing fleet will drive efficiency and time-savings throughout the entire production cycle. This expansion will enhance productivity and flexibility to support their clients’ diverse needs in the Packaging, Commercial, Direct Mail, and Statement businesses.

John Barros is President of San Diego Printers, a position he’s held since 1999. John started his tenure with the company in 1982, when he moved to San Diego from a small town in California looking for employment. He specifically wanted to work at a printing company and offered to work at San Diego Printers for free for a week if given a chance to prove himself. He was
given the opportunity and was offered a permanent job within three days. Through hard work and enthusiasm for the business, John worked steadily through the ranks. He became a press operator, then moved on to assistant production manager, then production manager, before acquiring the company with two partners and becoming president. He has since bought out his partners and is now the sole owner. A long-time offset print shop, John added digital equipment and mailing services to round out the offerings at San Diego Printers. “We want to be a one-stop shop for our clients,” he says, Continued on Page 2
