“Ripples on the Water” Go ahead, give yourself a gift on the next warm Summer day by taking the afternoon off from spending time on daily chores. Select a location you love just steps from the shoreline facing nature’s beauty with a wide view and beyond. Spread a blanket on the ground and marvel at the stillness and the calmness you feel as life’s busyness drains away.

Perhaps you’ll become aware of gentle ripples on the lake indicating a breeze there but not on shore where you’d prefer. Oh well, you’re still on a break from life’s burdensome chores so, you’ll cherish the peacefulness even if it’s not perfection. Jeff Salmon
