With autumn well and truly upon us it’s hard to think of anywhere more beautiful to enjoy the change in the seasons than our National Park. There is something quite comforting about things slowing down - reminding us to take a break, refuel and recharge.
There are numerous dates for guided walks on Cairngorm Mountain, and for those who want to enjoy the great outdoors at a gentler pace, wonderful health walks regularly take place throughout the Park.
Aviemore half marathon and the Aviemore 10K For All are on the 8th and 9th of the month starting and finishing at Badaguish, if you aren’t running, I am sure those who are would love to hear you cheer as they cross the finish line.
No October What’s On guide would be complete without a mention of the Golden Spurtle! The iconic World Porridge Making Championship is in its 29th year, get yourselves to Carrbridge on the 8th October to see the action unfold. For fun and fright factor in equal measures Landmark Forest Adventure Park is full of spooktacular surprises from the 8th-30th, not forgetting the legendary foam weekend 29th30th!
