A Word From The Editor

First I must say, congratulations to all the businesses and event organizers that have taken on a Mount Everest in improvising and pivoting your operations to move forward. It’s heartwarming and just makes me more determined to keep going so we can support you. The What’s On Digest going forward will start to look a little different. To work with event and activity organizers as we manage each challenge, we need to be more flexible with how and when we deliver the event and activity information. Now as things evolve more events will appear online than in our magazine, we have thousands of subscribers island wide, that look forward to what is coming up. For the rest of the year, we will be joining the Campbell River and Comox Valley editions together to help stimulate local and neighbouring support for businesses and to promote each city as it flourishes into a new era. This also means we will be distributing bi-monthly into both cities with the one issue. The next issue is the November / December issue that will be delivered by Canada Post in the Courtenay region and display locations in the Campbell River area. Deadline for this issue will be October 24th. The Summer Staycation issue was received with much delight and has reached thousands of island and BC residents, who used the information well, thank you everyone for your stories. After such a great reception we have decided to print a WINTER edition so you can keep up with all the Island Christmas markets, light shows, snow events and much more. The deadline for this issue will be October 26th. Health and Happiness , Cathy Kaardal, President, What’s On Digest Vancouver Island.
