HOME PICK UPS A warm welcome to the Second Edition of Globe Holidays tour collection Whether you are travelling with us for the first time or are one of our many returning customers you will be sure to find a fantastic selection of breaks to choose from. Our new 2019/2020 brochure features many new and exciting destinations, as well as some fantastic new features and benefits available to all who book.

Who are we? A familiar name in South Yorkshire, Globe Holidays have been providing tours and day excursions for over 65 years. Expanding our reach back in 2015 to incorporate the pick-up areas of Harrogate and surrounding districts, then in 2018 expanding further to include Morley, Bradford and Dewsbury and now for 2019 expanding our coverage within Barnsley to include Gray’s Travel tours. As a family run business we strive to offer that personal touch from start to finish, our travel centre team have a combined tour management experience of over 100 years and an immense knowledge of tour planning and coordination.

Our Coaches We operate a fleet of modern and luxury coaches, these include our popular “Diamond Traveller” and “Royal Class” brand of coaches. All offer you the facilities you would expect to find on a touring coach including air conditioning and for ease of use, rear floor mounted WC – no difficult steps to navigate or worry about.

Single Rooms

This year we are delighted to announce that all holidays, regardless of duration will include a free door-to-door pick up service – subject to area. The areas covered can be found on page three, on our website www. globeholidays.co.uk or if you would prefer to discuss in person please call us on one of our travel centre numbers or pop in to see us at either the Barnsley or Bradford town centre shops. Why have we opted for this? Many of you that have travelled with ourselves, or other operators worry about what time you need to arrive at the departure point for your outbound journey, rather than you having to worry about this or indeed what time you will arrive back at the end of your holiday we now do all of that for you as standard. What happens if you do not come under the “pick-uparea” … Don’t worry we can still arrange a door-to-door transfer for you at a small supplement, likewise if you would still prefer to make your own way to any one of our departure points we will simply deduct £10.00 per person at time of booking – it’s that simple. You will notice throughout the brochure a selection of holidays that have been “Handpicked by Grays”. Here at Globe we’ve taken the step to incorporate this excellent programme of holidays and short breaks to give you even more choice for 2019 than ever before. Try the “As Seen on TV” Elgin Hotel on the North Bay at Blackpool with fantastic entertainment and superb food, or the delightful Red Lea Hotel in Scarborough, conveniently situated on the South Bay near The Italian Gardens at the Cliff Lift. Why not try the unique warm welcome at the St Kilda in Llandudno where no guest walks through the door without enjoying a complimentary plate of St Kilda homemade scones to name but a few of the new additions.

As with the majority of operators we can never obtain as many single rooms as we would like, we strive to make it as fair as possible to passengers when travelling alone but on occasions we as an operator are charged a supplement; wherever possible we will accommodate with no supplement, however if at the time of booking we do not have an allocation available we will always offer you either a supplemented single or a double room for sole occupancy.

Excursions & Itineraries – Everything that is advertised is included, we do not charge for additional excursions or admissions – although this is nothing new it is a question we often get asked. If there is an excursion (which includes entry) that you do not wish to participate in then you are free to spend the day at the resort at your leisure; as long as it isn’t the first or last day of the holiday as we do not want to leave you behind.

Insurance

Every paying passenger will receive a £5.00 gift voucher to be redeemed against any day trip or holiday of your choosing, this will be handed out on the coach on the day of your return.

Although travel insurance is not mandatory for UK holidays we highly recommend you insure your holiday with cancellation cover. Please ask a member of staff at the time of booking for details of insurance providers.

For your ease this year’s brochure is in chronological order, starting with April and following the year all the way through the year and the beginning of 2020. Many of you asked us to make the brochure more user friendly – we hope this helps you choose.

Booking your Holiday & Deposits We are pleased to welcome clients to one of our Travel Centres located in both Barnsley and Bradford, alternatively for those of you who would prefer to book via the telephone we are contactable on any of our travel centre numbers. We accept all major credit & debit cards, cash, cheque or direct bank transfer — we have no booking fee and all bookings will be confirmed in writing by either email or post. A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 per person is payable at time of booking, with the full balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. A non-refundable deposit of £150.00 per person is requiredt for any Jersey-By-Air bookings, with the balance payable 12 weeks prior to departure. For your financial security and to ensure our clients monies are safe in the unlikely event of the insolvency of the company we hold all clients funds in a client account. This means any monies paid to Globe Holidays is placed directly into the account and cannot be retrieved by Globe Holidays until the completion of your holiday, this is in line with requirements of the EU & Package Tour Sales. All bookings are subject to our Trading Charter, copies of which are available from our Travel Centres or to view online at www.globeholidays.co.uk E&OE
