WHALE Arts is the cultural anchor organisation for Wester Hailes. We are a community-led arts charity and social enterprise, set up by local people in 1992.

The WHALE Arts Centre is a friendly, community owned space in the South West of Edinburgh with excellent road and public transport links East into the City and West towards the airport and Glasgow.

The WHALE Centre provides parking for cars and bicycles, and is a short walk from Wester Hailes train station. We now offer a range of office accommodation to suit your needs ranging from low-cost, start-up business pods complete with business support, through to serviced office space for small teams.

Join The WHALE Centre and work alongside like-minded creative and community-led social enterprises.

From low cost, start-up business pods to serviced office space for small teams, the WHALE can accommodate tenants and cultural partners on a short or long-term basis.

Tenants can enjoy free WiFi, communal kitchen access and discounted rates for meeting room hire.

Utilities, property maintenance and repairs, reception duties and cleaning are all included in the rental fee.

Tenants are offered a photocopying and franked mailing service at a reasonable cost, and can access our other spaces, shared kitchen and building resources on a firstcome basis.

Event

We Offer: shared kitchen. garden, communal growing area and outside cooking space and external decking. a fully equipped performance space. a 10 PC computer suite. creative workshop spaces. a social area. a creche/quiet room. a board room. a range of audio-visual equipment. a huge programme of art, craft and cultural activity for all ages and talents. community & cultural networks.

Teas and coffees can be provided and external catering arranged on request.
