WHALE Arts is the cultural anchor organisation for Wester Hailes. We are a community-led arts charity and social enterprise, set up by local people in 1992.

The WHALE Arts Centre is a friendly, community owned space in the South West of Edinburgh with excellent road and public transport links East into the City and West towards the airport and Glasgow.

The WHALE Centre provides parking for cars and bicycles, and is a short walk from Wester Hailes train station. We now offer a range of office accommodation to suit your needs ranging from low-cost, start-up business pods complete with business support, through to serviced office space for small teams.

Rental, Office Rental, and Meeting Space.

From low cost, start-up business pods to serviced office space for small teams, the WHALE can accommodate tenants and cultural partners on a short or long-term basis.

Internet access, heating, lighting, water rates, property maintenance and repairs, reception duties and cleaning are all included in the rental fee.

Tenants are offered a photocopying and franked mailing service at a reasonable cost, and can access our other spaces, shared kitchen and building resources on a firstcome basis.

We Offer: shared kitchen. garden, communal growing area and outside cooking space and external decking. a fully equipped performance space. a 10 PC computer suite. creative workshop spaces. a social area. a creche/quiet room. a board room. a range of audio-visual equipment. a huge programme of art, craft and cultural activity for all ages and talents. community & cultural networks.

Join The Whale Centre Co-working Space and access our professional, fully serviced work space as and when you need it. All our packages include free WiFi, access to a communal kitchen and discounted rates for meeting room hire.

FIXED DESK RENTAL INCLUDES:

WHALE offers 5 fixed desk spaces in The Pod. Desks start from £150 per month, with the option of a desk top computer at an additional cost.

Fixed Desk CoWorkers will be provided with a set of keys to allow for out of hours working.

Free WiFi. Bookable meeting room (reduced prices for co-working members).

Creche and quiet areas.

Evening and weekends access til 10pm.

There are up to 5 hot desks at Whale with three different packages: Monday - Friday: £100 a month – rolling monthly contract Part-Month £60 – 5 days (over a month - Monday Friday) Day £20 – day rate
