Wolverhampton Girls’ High School
A Message from our Headteacher
Eid Mubarak! We wish you and your loved ones a joyous and happy Eid.
It has been a busy week in School. It has been wonderful to see the students enjoying the grounds within the spring sunshine this year as the sounds of chatter and laughter fill the air.
Next week, we celebrate student achievements with our Upper School Rewards trip taking place as well as a celebration event for Year 12. We also look forward to our students’ performances in the Spring Concert, and we hope you can join us.
We have two more weeks of the Spring Term. As a reminder we break up on Thursday 2nd April at 3.40pm and return to School on Monday 20th April.
Best Wishes
Mrs Young

Student Success
It has been a great half term at Wolves. The coaching staff are really appreciative of the extra time they have had with the players and have seen real results in their progress. Well done to our Y9 and Y10 students who have attended Wolves Academy on a Wednesday! It is great to see you getting involved and achieving in a fantastic sport!

Huge congratulations to Gabriella in Year 7 on passing her Grade 4 Piano exam with distinction! We are so proud of your amazing achievement!
Book Nook
It seems like just yesterday that we had our World Book Day events. Congratulations again to our costume competition winners, who each received a free book from our Book Fair collection! And speaking of the Book Fair, we finished with a grand total of £1072.66, all of which goes towards new books in the Library. These new books are now available to browse in the Library as well. Huge thanks to everyone who bought something from the Book Fair, whether it was a stack of books or a single pen!
Here are the overall results for March so far:
• As of 19th March, we've had 141 books taken out of the Library.
• Our most popular book so far has been A Game for Scandal by Laura Wood.
• My Star Library Borrower for March is... Hafsa in Ferrers House! Over on eLibrary:
• Our eLibrary has had 106 loans so far this month. It's on track to be our most popular month so far!
• Our most popular eBook is The Crown by Kiera Cass.
• My Star eLibrary Borrower for the first half of February is... Anushka in Audley House!
As always, if you or your child has any questions, you can email me at growe@wghs.org.uk or come and visit me in the library.
Happy reading! Miss Rowe
