Dear parents and carers

The sun has been shining again for most of the week and it has been lovely to see the students once again enjoying the grounds. During the week, students have participated in wellbeing events, plays, competitions and represented the school.

Today, we welcomed into school, Headteachers from a number of local primary schools as part of our outreach activities. I was incredibly proud of all students who contributed to this event. Well done, all, you are great ambassadors of our school!

Fairtrade in Wolverhampton Celebration

On Friday, 4 of our Y8 students attended a party at the City Suite in Wolverhampton to celebrate 21 years of Fairtrade in the city. The event was a fantastic tribute to all the hard work that goes into ensuring Wolverhampton has retained its Fairtrade status over the years.

Year 9 netball success!

Congratulations to our 2 Year 9 netball teams who competed in the City Year 9 netball tournament last Thursday they finished in 2nd and 3rd place out of 11 schools invited.

Dem Campingplatz

On Monday Onatti Productions came into school to perform a German play — Auf Dem Campingplatz for our Year 8 students and German– option students in years 9 and 11. One of our Year 9 students said “I found the German play entertaining, it was a bit hard to understand because I didn't know all the words that were said but I understood the overall story and enjoyed watching it.“ Year 8 student Tehya also enjoyed the play ‘I very much enjoyed the German play, and although I don't know a bunch of German, I still got the general gist. I enjoyed it extremely.’

This experience proved to be truly enriching experience for our students, allowing them to connect their developing German vocabulary to action and expression creating wonderful application of their classroom learning.

School Prospectus Photographer

On Tuesday 1st April we will be having a photographer come into school to take photos for our new prospectus. If your daughter has photo consent she will potentially be included. If you have any concerns or would prefer your daughter not take part please email the school by 12noon on Monday.

Year 7 student Advita has been practising karate since January 2024. Last week, she passed her 5th grade and received her ORANGE belt. Well done Advita!
