Message from our Headteacher

As the exam season gets underway, we wish all of our students the very best of luck. We can’t stress enough that staff remain here to help and support in any way we can.

Next week we have an early closure day on Wednesday when all lessons conclude at 2.40pm. Please do book your daughter into our after school study sessions if required.

This week’s bulletin includes a celebration of a number of students’ experiences and achievements out of school. We are very proud of you all.

Alice shines at the Tower Ballroom

Year 10 student Alice was dancing in Blackpool again last weekend at the open junior dance festival. Whilst Alice has some experience of performing at these big venues, as well as dancing in her normal ballroom formation team, Romeo & Juliet (a routine she has been learning & rehearsing for the past year), she was asked on Wednesday evening if she would step up, at the 11th hour, to learn the leaders routine for one of the Latin teams, Abba. One of the other children had broken his toe & was unable to dance, without Alice they would not have been able to put the team out to perform. Alice agreed to help & in just 2hrs 45mins of last-minute rehearsal time, Alice somehow managed to learn the full 5 minute routine & pulled off an incredible performance.

The students at the dance school all pulled together, supported each other and encouraged each other - it was admirable, a true demonstration of kindness, respect and team work. Congratulations Alice!

Black Belt for River!

A huge well done to River in Year 7 who has recently completed her Black Belt certification in Tae Kwon-Do! This requires real dedication to training and demonstrating proficiency in various techniques. Congratulations River what a fantastic achievement!
