he vehicles we drive today have dashes filled with the latest technology and innovations that keep us in tune with our vehicle’s performance, engaged and entertained. But when driving, don’t let these things distract you.

Our line crews often work alongside roadways, making a hazardous job even more dangerous. They are at risk of being injured by passing motorists, and these accidents are preventable if drivers will pay attention, slow down and move over.

The “Move-Over” law helps protect law enforcement officers and other emergency responders by requiring motorists to move over when approaching stopped emergency vehicles with flashing emergency lights.

Utility workers are considered emergency responders – and it’s the law to move over when they are working beside the road.

ou want your home to be comfortable year round. During times of extreme heat or cold, questions about energy costs can arise - but balancing comfort and cost in your home doesn't have to be difficult.

It's a matter of measuring, managing, and understanding SEER. Your home's cooling system is rated by SEER, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It is a measure of a unit's maximum efficiency, similar to the miles per gallon (MPG) of your car - the higher the number, the more efficient it is. A low SEER rating of your home's cooling system indicates that you're not as efficient as you could be.

With as much as half of the energy used in your home going to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), it's important to have a system with higher SEER for greater energy efficiency and MORE savings.

Regardless of your HVAC SEER rating, replacing your unit with one rated higher can lower energy costs - as much as 5 to 10 percent, when everything is installed correctly.

It's a matter of measuring, managing, and understanding SEER. Your home's cooling system is rated by SEER, or Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It is a measure of a unit's maximum efficiency, similar to the miles per gallon (MPG) of your car - the higher the number, the more efficient it is. A low SEER rating of your home's cooling system indicates that you're not as efficient as you could be.

With as much as half of the energy used in your home going to heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), it's important to have a system with higher SEER for greater energy efficiency and MORE savings.

he vehicles we drive today have dashes filled with the latest technology and innovations that keep us in tune with our vehicle’s performance, engaged and entertained. But when driving, don’t let these things distract you.

Our line crews often work alongside roadways, making a hazardous job even more dangerous. They are at risk of being injured by passing motorists, and these accidents are preventable if drivers will pay attention, slow down and move over.

The “Move-Over” law helps protect law enforcement officers and other emergency responders by requiring motorists to move over when approaching stopped emergency vehicles with flashing emergency lights.

Utility workers are considered emergency responders – and it’s the law to move over when they are working beside the road.
