EDITORIAL - James Warrener

What off season? May has been a busy month at the Bob Lucas Stadium with lots o out oin s and incomin s.

A summary o some o the new names and chan es are eatured later on in this edition.

We were lucky to et interview time with Bobby Wilkinson in last months Terras Times weren’t we?

He was recently late to a BBC Solent interview as he was tryin to do a deal and brin a new player into the club!

He ended that conversation by sayin that he was lookin or a day off in June… enjoy it affer!

The recent EGM passed chan es which will hope ully prove to be positive in the lon term structure and development o Weymouth Football Club.

It eels reat to have Paul Maitland and Simon Etherin ton steerin the ship off the park and whilst miracles shouldn't be expected, pro ress should, and you can rest assured that WFCSA will be doin its best (as always) to support the club in tryin to improve in all areas..

I wanted to pay tribute to the lar e number o players leavin the club this summer. Players who ave their all in uncertain times financially and proved that writin them off was olly.

What they achieved was somethin truly remarkable and I am sure you will join me in wishin them all well in the uture careers (expect when playin us!)

Whilst spendin time lookin backwards, how nice was it to see Ashley Wells’ testimonial?

So many reat old players o this ootball club. Somethin that reminds us all that Weymouth FC is special and that we should all remember that, especially in hard times like season 2022/2023 James
