TERRAS TIMES The newsletter of the Weymouth FC Supporters Association
ISSUE 12 Summer 2018
From the Editors Chair It doesn't make a change for me to open the newsletter with an apology, and this edition is no different. I am in the process of moving even further north and the process of buying a house and sorting out school places has been more stressful than I could ever have imagined. Thank goodness there has been a successful season on the park for the Terras to take my mind off the constant stream of email and phone calls from Estate Agents and Solicitors. For despite that gut wrenching first half against Kings Lynn, I don’t see any way that this season could be deemed anything other than a success for the club. Off the field we have a new Chairman whose passion and devotion to the club can never be questioned. We have expanded fund raising opportunities and a real desire to back the junior teams at the club. Going forward we have excellent young players and a focused Managerial team who are contracted to the club and if there were to leave, we would be compensated for their loss. Remember Stuart Beavon leaving and the whole debate about a sell on clause? It’s a fantastic time to be a Terra and I am going to educate the people of Lincolnshire about the club over the summer months… should I ever move house of course!

New board appointments at the Bob Lucas Stadium Along with Ian White being appointed as the new Chairman of Weymouth Football Club, there has been further strengthening of the management board. Simon Etherington and Mark Golsby joined the board at the end of January, each bringing key skills to the table. It’s a really exciting time on the field as the Terras look towards making the play offs and with new appointments in the board room we are confident the positivity and goodwill currently emanating around the club can carry on and grow.
Young Terras Update The young Terras are getting more and more exposure via the clubs official website and social media feeds. This is great for the long term success of the club and is a very welcome development. If you feel you can help the young Terras, get in touch using one of the email addresses below.
