TERRAS TIMES The newsletter of the Weymouth FC Supporters Association

ISSUE 16 September

From the Editors Chair I feel like I am still in dreamland at the moment. It might be Autumn and the nights might be starting to pull in, but 2019 can carry on forever as far as I am concerned. It’s been one of the best years I can remember to be a fan of Weymouth Football Club and so far it shows no sign of slowing down. Recent results continue to be eye catching and for an exiled fan like me, being able to listen to matches live is ensuring that despite being remote I am still able to follow my team. We are so lucky to be enjoying such good times at the moment, compare that with the news emerging out of North Ferriby and Billericay recently where the issues of ownership and continued participation in their leagues have been raised. Our FA cup opponents from the Garry Hill era Bury, haven't been able to survive and stave off extinction. These issues show the continued challenge that clubs face away from the top table. It still causes me a smile to send my little daughters off to do PE at school with their Terras away kits. So much so that the games teacher (who happens to play for our old foes Cambridge City) has now started to follow our results and performances. We are changing the world and making them Terras, one by one. Let us know if you’ve managed to convert a nonbeliever into being a fan recently!

James TERRAS ON TOUR !

Terras fun runners In the first of our Terras on Tour series we have James Harris setting the bar quite high!!

We wanted snaps of you rocking the Terras shirt on your holidays and James has certainly done the business sending us this snap of him modelling our stylish new away shirt in Ko Samui. I might leave off sending my one from Skegness in now James !!

Young Weymouth fans Ellie (8) and Jessie (5) recently completed the Thurlby 3k run in Lincolnshire whilst showing off their Terras colours. Ellie made it round in 20 mins whilst Jessie was held up by her slow Dad and newsletter Editor James and were a couple of minutes behind. Both placed well in their age groupings and are looking forward to racing again.
