From the Editors Chair Seasons Greetings Terras fans the world over!

This has been a remarkable year for our club and one which wont be forgotten in a long, long time.

I was rushing across Kings Cross Station Saturday evening looking for a train back up north and found myself in a queue with a Barnet fan who had been to the game and was looking to get to York.

Despite being pleased with his sides win, he was massively wholesome in his praise of Weymouth FC and its fans, acknowledging the way they were matched on the pitch and out sung in the stands. I think there are two key messages in there to take into 2020.

We are battling hard for each other on the pitch and remaining in games, whilst providing a positive and encouraging atmosphere off the pitch. With this combination, and the fact our Manager has extended his contract we can approach the next decade with a lot less trepidation that we did the last one.

I know I mention the clubs recent history quite a lot, but I feel that this role comes with a responsibility to contextualize where WFC is at this time.

Despite potentially being “just another game” for Barnet, it was an occasion for us and we made the most of it. As I said to my new friend in Kings Cross, there have been many Saturdays in the last 20 years where we’ve been wondering if there was a club or a team to run out on the pitch at 3pm.

One thing we now have is stability and an opportunity to continue this growth. Football fans aren’t patient by nature, but we have learnt that quick fixes and Weymouth FC don’t mix. Loyal supporters are in it for the long haul so we aren’t going anywhere. If we get to the Conference National in 5 years, that would be awesome, if we stay where we are, that’s fine to.

Finally I would like to put on record the WFCSA’s thanks to the board, management, players and supporters for what has been a brilliant 2019. Long may this current vibe continue.

Chairman’s Chatter Welcome to the final Supporters Association Newsletter of 2019. What an incredible year it has been! On the pitch, the management team and players gained us the promotion we have craved for a decade, and in some style on the last day of the season in front of an incredible crowd of 2606! Then off the pitch, we have seen the fantastic improvements at the Bob Lucas Stadium, the new roof and seats in the main stand and the upgraded floodlights. This together with the painting and other repairs that have been done have really freshened the whole place up and is a credit to all involved. Then there was the superb news that the land deal has been finally resolved, and our future at the stadium assured, it was a momentous summer indeed. Moving into the new season, we have seen our improvements on the pitch continue under Mark Molesley and his staff, leading us on a 12 game unbeaten league run and cementing a place in the play offs, though there is still plenty of time left in this season! Let us hope that we can maintain the momentum moving forward into the new year.

Thank you to anyone who has volunteered their valuable time to help out during a very busy year. We could not achieve the success and improvements we have without your help. Thank you to all our fans for your fantastic support, it has been impressive. Remember to keep telling all your family and friends what we are doing here and encourage them to come along and take a look for themselves. There is really something special building here, so get them to come along and be a part of it.

Predictions for 2020‌ A look into our claret and blue crystal ball with a list of predictions that you can hold us to* 1. On return to AFC Bournemouth, Brennan Camps follows Mark Travers into making a first team appearance for the Cherries.

2. Weymouth will finish 7th in Conference South.

3. Poole will win promotion :( 4. Weymouth will get to the first round proper of the 2020/2021 FA Cup and meet a league club at home.

Jake McCarthy will be named the WFC player of the season.

WFCSA Agm Report 2019 Weymouth FC Supporters Association, (WFCSA) 'The Terras Supporters Club', held their annual general meeting on Thursday 21 November 2019 at the Bob Lucas Stadium. A healthy representation of supporters attended. Members were given an overview of membership and finances as of 31 May 2019. Of great significance was the following statement from Weymouth FC Chairman Ian White, passed to and read out by WFCSA Chairman Pete Nash;

'Dear WFCSA Board Members and WFCSA supporters, I would like to convey my thanks for all the hard work you have put in during my two years as WFC Chairman. Your support has been fantastic and together we have achieved something very special indeed. We have taken our great club from the bottom to a place that few of us thought we could ever achieve again. But I truly believe we are in a much better place than we have ever been in. What we have accomplished both off the field and on the pitch is beyond belief. We have money in the bank. We have sorted the land deal out. The ground has had a face lift and as each week passes is looking better and better. On the field, we have something very special. A young hungry manager and a squad of players to match that. Ten league games unbeaten says it all. So my message to you is again well done and thank you, we have a long way still to go but I really believe together as one we can achieve it. It won't be easy lets not kid ourselves but we can do it. Again thank you. Ian White. WFC Chairman'

We would like to thank Ian White for those kind words. It is a powerful statement, and we would also like to thank Ian for bringing everyone together with a focus on building a successful team both on and off the pitch. Many people have been involved with the club and they have worked tirelessly and selflessly to get us to the position we enjoy today.

We all continue to work together in the common cause of providing a football club that the whole community can be proud of. There is still much to do, but we are collectively moving in the right direction, building on solid foundations.

'The Terras Supporters Club' board look forward to further strengthening our commitments to supporting the club for many years to come. We would encourage supporters to join us, and if at all possible, to give some of their time in helping us move forward with even greater purpose. It has been a good 12 months for 'The Terras Supporters Club' and we look forward to building on the success enjoyed over the past few seasons.

Thank you all for your continued support, the club is nothing without the loyal fan base getting behind the team. The increase in attendances over last season and this show the product on the pitch is something special! Bring a friend or twenty to the next game, if you agree with us you will want to come back again and again!
