Chairman’s Chat Welcome to the first edition of Terras Times, the newsletter to keep Supporters association members connected with what is going on.

We are getting to the meat of the season and its important now more than ever that we stick together as a team and a club.

We have a great opportunity to make a difference with our words and our actions but it needs us to keep in touch and communicate.

Joe Editors Viewpoint I am delighted to have been given the responsibility of Communications Manager for the WFC Supporters Association.

This football club means the absolute world to me and any opportunity I have to put something back into it, I will gladly take.

The newsletter is part of that process and it is absolutely key that its read and used by all members.

What’s in Store ?

Pete from the club shop has informed us that there are a number of new products coming on stream in the club shop and online store in the next few weeks.

“Christmas is a busy period for the supporters club shop and we have to be ready for the demand that will be coming.”

He added “Our new range includes men's and women's hats and the reveal of our all new design of scarf!”

Its Poole in the Trophy...

The FA Trophy draw is now sitting alongside the FA Cup draw in terms of my affection… so quite low.

I sat eagerly listening to the fourth qualifying round draw on my mobile only to be crestfallen by the news that we would be travelling to Kidderminster.

Call it a premonition but I had a bad feeling about going to Aggborough, not without foundation it turns out.

With the FA Cup out of the way my thoughts turned to the Trophy. I was pleased to see progress made and I keenly sat hitting F5 on the FA.com to see details of the draw.

It was pretty devastating to get the news through that we were travelling to Poole Town. Not just because I was selfishly hoping for something up country that I would be able to get along to, but because… well… you know , ITS POOLE TOWN! Its fairly recent history that we could justifiably have looked at this match as a bi into the next round. Now, however, we have had to watch them not only catch us, but romp ahead a division.

We can point to their inferior facilities all we want, but stadiums don’t win matches, players do. Sadly if you take a look at the current Southern League table we aren’t competitive enough in the league and are up against it in this Trophy match.

We still have a real chance to achieve something during this campaign but the revival must start now and must be backed by momentum. I hope we can do it.

We are holding a quiz night at the club on 25th Nov. doors and bar will be open from 7pm, all done by about 10pm approx. Teams of up to 6 people, £2 entry per person.
