WE COME TOGETHER ON THE TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES AND ANCESTRAL HOMELANDS OF THE ARAPAHO, CHEYENNE, AND UTE NATIONS AND PEOPLES.

WE HONOR THE LAND STEWARDSHIP AND INNUMERABLE CONTRIBUTIONS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE, WHILE WE REMEMBER AND CONDEMN THE OPPRESSION AND ATROCITIES AGAINST THEM.
THERE ARE OVER THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND WOMEN IN COLORADO TODAY WHO IDENTIFY AS AMERICAN INDIAN OR ALASKA NATIVE ALONE. THROUGH OUR GRANTMAKING AND POLICY ADVOCACY, WE ELEVATE THEIR LEADERSHIP.

The challenges ahead are real: shrinking resources, widening inequities, and policy reversals designed to undo decades of progress. But Colorado has something powerful on our side: We take immense pride in being a leading state for women and are vigilant about protecting our legacy! Take a look around this room—nearly 1,800 of you showed up today. We are incredibly grateful for every sponsor, donor, and supporter here.
Honestly, it’s been an incredibly challenging year for fundraising. We’ve heard from more than one long-time luncheon sponsor that they can no longer sponsor organizations with gender-specific missions. It’s heartbreaking that women have become political collateral. Failing to invest in women means we miss out on extraordinary potential, perspective, and talent that benefits everyone in this room.
Today, we will announce how we’re reinforcing the essential tapestry of nonprofits serving Colorado women, girls, families, and our most vulnerable. While some supporters may have pulled back, as the only community-funded foundation in the state protecting women’s progress and advancing gender, racial, and economic equity—we are leaning in. We are increasing our grantmaking and unapologetically advocating for policies with lifechanging potential.
But we can’t do this work alone. We need you to continue showing up, speaking up, and taking action with us. When you give to The Women’s Foundation of Colorado, you aren’t just giving to programs—you are fortifying our future and safeguarding the progress we’ve all worked so hard to achieve. You are changing the game.
In gratitude, Mary Ann Littler
Chair of the Board
