I am always amazed by how fast the summer passes. Very soon, students will be heading back to school, and we'll be jumping into the fall swing of things.

Save the date for our Fall Gathering, an opportunity to gather and celebrate philanthropy in our community.
Your Community Foundation has spent the last few months refining our processes, strengthening our programs, and enhancing our position in the community. In this edition of Branching Out Quarterly, we will highlight recent Foundation happenings and set the stage for what promises to be an eventful fourth quarter of the year.
As the summer ends, nonprofits are preparing for the end-of-year push, recruiting volunteers, hosting special events, and, of course, raising funds vital to their missions And now more than ever, it seems that established businesses and new organizations alike are looking for opportunities to invest in lasting, meaningful ways. The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation is here for it all, making connections and building relationships that strengthen our community's ability to grow and thrive.
So bring on the next season and hopefully, cooler weather. We've got work to do!

Each scholarship is an investment in education, opportunity, and the future of our community Thank you to everyone who continues to support local students through the power of philanthropy, and congratulations to all of this year ’ s scholarship recipients!

TEXOMA GIVES
This Texoma Gives, we are fundraising for our Emergency Services Fund, which provides support to volunteer fire departments (VFDs) and emergency service operations in our service area These volunteers devote time to emergency response, training, equipment maintenance, and fundraising With limited support, these first responders must raise funds to cover equipment, insurance, training, vehicle maintenance, and facility costs
The WFACF Emergency Services grant program helps reduce that burden by providing resources that strengthen emergency response capabilities and support safe, effective operations Grant funding may be used for personal protective equipment, medical and rescue tools, communication devices, vehicle repairs, and matching funds for emergency response vehicles
Together, we can help keep our volunteer emergency responders safe while they protect the communities we love!

GRANT CYCLE UPDATES
EMERGENCY SERVICES SPRING GRANT CYCLE | JUNE 2026
The Emergency Services grant cycle supports area volunteer fire departments by helping fund equipment, gear, training, and other resources needed to protect residents and respond effectively to emergencies.
$100,529 12 awarded to area volunteer fire departments
This grant will enable us to purchase personal protective equipment for wildland firefighting This gear undergoes significant wear and tear, especially during the current wildfire season The grant cycle provided by WFACF is crucial for smaller departments like ours, as we mainly depend on fundraising and grant opportunities to obtain the necessary equipment and resources
