We have been looking forward to this special reunion for a long time! What a great opportunity to meet up with old friends, share some memories and hopefully reconnect to a time and place that helped to shape each of our lives in a positive way.

On behalf of the Board of Education of Southeast Cornerstone Public School Division and Board Chair Audrey Trombley, I would like to extend our best wishes for a weekend of reminiscing, rekindling of friendships and celebrating success rooted in your education here in Weyburn. Some of you will have moved away from this community and settled across the country and into the far corners of the world, others will have taken over the local family business or farm or started your own successful venture here at home.

If it has been a while since you were last in Weyburn, we invite you to check out all of the changes. This community has worked hard to make our City one of the best places in Canada to live. Literally!

So much to see, so much to do, so many people to visit with; I hope you are ready to have a busy weekend! Let’s make some new memories with some old friends and hopefully add a few new names and faces to the mix.

CLASS PARTIES

Classes of 1950-1955 should meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 29th at the Canalta Inn. Gary Onstad is hosting.

The class of 1965 is meeting at the Weyburn Golf Club on Saturday, July 30th. Brunch, golf and supper. Gregg Norman will be the emcee.

Class of 1966, including many from 1965 and 1967, have rented Captain’s Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Abe Winter will be emceeing the event at the supper with some nostalgia and stories from his sports writer days.

All grads of 1968, or around that time, are planning a coffee party/ BYOB at Norma Pulfer’s house at 663 Dieppe Dr. on the Saturday, July 30th, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Class of 1974 has rented the Vimy Room at the Legion on Saturday, July 30th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Class of 1976 will meet Thursday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Detour Bar & Grill. It’s by the Travelodge (old El Rancho location). Saturday afternoon, July 30th, meet at Gerry and Dale Ruckaber’s house (427 Tom Hart Drive) at 2:00 p.m. BYOB and snacks and lawn chairs if possible.

Class of 1977 are getting together at Pumpjacks on Saturday, July 30th, around 1:30 p.m. Hope to see you there.

Class of 1978 is meeting at Pumpjacks on Thursday, July 28th, at 4:30 p.m.

Class of 1979 will be meeting together as a class on Saturday, July 30th, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Elks Park (200 block of Douglas Road).

Bring your lawn chairs, coolers, games, memorabilia and whatever else you would like.

Class of 1980, including friends and family, will be meeting for lunch at Brown’s Social House on Saturday, July 30th, at 12 noon.

Class of 1981 is meeting at the Junior High parking lot at 1:00 p.m.
