Tournament Information Commitment: At this time, teams are committed to the full entry fee of the event. No refunds will be issued for cancelations unless another team can fill the spot.
Format: Five Nine-Hole matches within Flights Flights will be comprised of 6 teams Flights are determined by a team’s combined handicap index Teams with the most points at end of the five matches shall be determined the Flight Champion In the event a team must withdraw from a Flight, opponents will play their match against par
Scoring: Team Winning a hole receives 1 point Team Halving a hole receives ½ point Team Losing a hole receives 0 points All matches are worth a total of 9 points Note: a team cannot win a hole with a NET Double Bogey *No additional points awarded for winning the match or halving the match*
Flight Winners, Tie Breakers, and Wildcard: Total Points accumulated in all five matches will determine the Flight Winners and Runner-Up. Flight Winners will qualify for a playoff to determine the Overall Champion. Ties for Flight Winners will be determined as follows: Head-to-Head Record Teams with the Most Matches Won Match Point Total in Reverse Order The Team with the most points during the entire tournament that is not a Flight Winner (Wildcard) will join the Flight Winners in the Championship Shootout. In the event of a tie, a player from each team will chip off at the Putting Green to determine the team that will proceed to the Shootout.
Pace of Play & Driving Range We ask that all players be mindful of their place on the golf course. It is each foursome’s responsibility to keep up with the group in front of them. Staff will be on the course throughout the tournament to monitor play; Please assist us by maintaining your place on the golf course. Due to the smaller size of our driving range, we also ask that players please be aware of others that wish to warm-up prior to the round. Thank you for cooperating ahead of time in making warm-up sessions fair and enjoyable for all players in the 2022 Men’s Member Guest.
Member Guest Championship Shootout: Alternate Shot: Only one player will hit the tee shot. Players will alternate until ball is holed. The ball must be holed! The player that did not hit the tee shot on the 1st hole, must hit the tee shot on #9 regardless whomever holed the final shot on the 1st playoff hole. All Teams will start on hole #1 and it is a two-hole aggregate score Teams with Net Par or better on hole #1 will proceed to hole #9 and all other teams will be eliminated Advancing teams will play hole #9 and the Team with the Low Net Aggregate Score will be declared 2022 Member Guest Champions In the event of ties on hole #9, tied teams will play hole #9 one more time. If teams are still tied, there will be a closest to the pin from 100 yards on hole #9. Handicaps will be calculated by taking 50% of each player and added together to form a team handicap If only one team makes a net par or better on the 1st hole, then they will be declared the Champion
Tees / Handicaps: The Tournament will be played off the White Tees. If you are 50+ years of age, and have a handicap index of 10.0 or higher, you may elect to play the Zorro or Gold Tees. Players will play at 90% of their Course Handicap Matches are played off the low handicap in each Match November 6th, 2022 Handicap Revision
Notes: All scores will be posted as Competition Scores for Handicaps Match 1 & Match 2 will be combined as an 18- Hole handicap (Thurs.) Match 3 & Match 4 will be combined as an 18- Hole Handicap (Fri.) Match 5 will be posted as a 9-Hole score (Sat.) Wexford is happy to provide a locker during your stay; however, space is limited, please let the Golf Staff know if you or your guest would like a locker during the event.
Optional Cash Games: Flight Fights -- $50.00 Per Team If any team in your flight wins the 2022 Men's Member Guest, all teams that bet will divide the pool money Flight Battles -- $100.00 Per Team -- $20.00 allocated to staff gratuity Highest Team Score each round will win $100.00 within flight (if all teams participate in flight battle) Skills Competition -- $20.00 Per Team (Putting Contest) **$170.00 cash entry per Team will cover all betting
