Do you want to go over to the labour lounge today and see if we can get some

yes, but if you stay here all day you have very little chance of falling off a ladder and we’ll have very little chance of earning any dough.

yeah, but..
what for? we usually just sit there waiting all day and do nothing.

or being crushed by a fork lift or dropping a cement block on your foot.

“ok, you’re right.” “Hey, look!”
here’s a million ways to die at the labour lounge.

it’s just a waste of time. don’t you think?
if we stay here all day we’ll just do nothing.
or inhaling toxic fumes or having your hand cut off

i think we should just stay here, where we know it’s safe...
The Beer Store’s open! So it is...

Maxfield McCoy was seeing things.
They were just little things at first. Little things reminding him that soon he would have to promise to be good.
But Maxfield knew that there would be lots of time for promises like that.

MAXFIELD and CHESS were on the prowL...
MAXFIELD’S DAD WAS A SIGN PAINTER.

HIS STUDIO WAS AN EXCELLENT SOURCE...

They collected a few essential items...

Then OFF they went into the night.

They continued on their quest...

...FOR THE NEXT MEDIA SURFACE.

It would be the first of many...

To Be Continued.

In the fall of 1953, Cardinal Giovanni Montini (the future Pope Paul VI) was serving as the Vatican’s Secretary of State.

He was in Dublin on an official visit from Rome.
Visiting diplomats normally stayed at The Chief Secretary’s Lodge (the presidential residence) in Phoenix Park.

In the late evening, the Cardinal chose a book from the library to read before bed, as was his habit.

The book he selected just happened to be 'LIFE OF MATT TALBOT’ by Sir Joseph A. Glynn.

It was a fascinating account. The story of a Holy Man of Dublin. A spiritual Warrior of the working class.
Certain passages were of singular interest...

HE read into the late evening.
he finally retired for the night, still quite intrigued...

He read the book until he fell asleep after midnight.

HIS DREAMS WERE VERY STRANGE...

RUN, PADRE!
