Weston Wellness MEMBER INFORMATION PACKAGE

The Weston Wellness Centre aims to create an environment that allows our members to focus on achieving their goals and reaching their optimal performance in golf, fitness, and over all well-being. Golf remains at the heart of our membership and inspires us to provide sport specific training such as The Titleist Performance Institute Instruction, in combination with a wide variety of classes and personal training. The Weston Wellness Centre encourages and provides a space for members of all abilities to work towards improving their overall health.

ACCESS & SAFETY The Member introduction video must be viewed and completed before access to the Wellness Centre is granted. By viewing the video the Member is accepting the terms as outlined therein, and agrees that the Member’s use of the Wellness Centre shall be in accordance with the terms as outlined. Members, by their use of the facility, agree that they are responsible for their own health and safety while in the Wellness Centre. The Member agrees that Weston Golf and Country Club Ltd ( “Weston”). shall not be liable for any injury, accident, health impairment, loss or damage incurred by the Member in making use of the Wellness Centre and agrees to indemnify and save harmless Weston from any claims, demands or losses to which Weston may be exposed arising from their use of the Wellness Centre. The introduction video will be available for viewing on Monday, September 14th.


CODE OF CONDUCT & DRESS CODE Weston is committed to fostering a welcoming environment that is equitable, diverse and inclusive for all members. We kindly ask that all members agree to abide by our code of conduct and dress code policy stated below.

C O D E O F C O N D U C T Appropriate clothing must be worn in accordance with the Weston Wellness Centre dress code. Equipment must not be removed from the Wellness Center. Members are asked to place personal items in their lockers or gym cubicles during the duration of their time in the centre. The Wellness Centre is a shared space – members are asked to please be respectful and aware of others. Wipe down equipment after use and return equipment to where it belongs. Report injuries, damages to equipment, or any other concerns promptly to a Member of Staff. Cell phones are permitted for personal use with headphones. No calls or photos are allowed. Respect and abide by the current COVID measures and restrictions to ensure a safe environment for all.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES The Wellness Centre is happy to offer our members a current selection of seven classes a week including Yoga, Total Golf Fitness, Zumba, and HITT/Bootcamp. It is our hope in the coming year with COVID restrictions lifting to open the centre to more classes and activities for the membership. Safety is our main priority and therefore we have limited the number of group fitness classes.

PRICING & PACKAGES - GROUP FITNESS CLASSES Classes are available to members as either a single class purchase or multiple class package. Packages are available for purchase in a set of 10 0r 20 classes, and are to be used solely by the Member. Class packages can be used across all classes and are not restricted to a single class type. All classes will be charged through the member account. Walk in $20+HST per member per class 10 class package: $180+HST 20 class package: $320+HST

HOURS OF OPERATIONS (SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER) Members are welcome to use the Wellness Centre during the hours of operations as listed below. The Wellness Centre will adhere to the Club House hours of operations, and will therefore be closed on specific holidays and or periods of maintenance periods.

TITLEIST PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE INSTRUCTION Weston is proud to offer members personalized training from TPI Certified Trainers. The Centre was deigned with your golf game in mind and includes equipment that is targeted towards bettering your ability on the course. Our instructors are there to offer one to one consultations and training based on the specific needs of your swing or physical limitations. Since its inception, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from top professional Tour Players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. TPI’s mission is to educate golfers and industry professionals on the Body-Swing Connection through its one of a kind ‘TPI Certified’ educational program. This program was developed by founders Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips along with a 52-member advisory staff of industry leading experts. Five unique fields of study are offered for TPI Certification: Golf, Medical, Fitness, Power and Junior Development. Currently, there are over 19,000 TPI Certified professionals in 63 countries assisting players of all skill levels.

COVID 19 PROTOCOL Due to the current environment in which we are opening The Wellness Centre, we are introducing several safety practices and protocols to protect the health of our members, staff, and community. While many of these cleaning practices will be adopted by the Weston Staff, our members also play a very important role in helping to maintain these safety standards.

BOOKING & SAFTEY PRACTICE Free Weights / Cardio Room: To coincide with current COVID protocol the free weights/ cardio area is limited to a maximum of 10 members per hour. To guarantee a space in the free weight/ cardio room, members are required to book an hourly pod using the online booking system. Use the tee time booking system to book a pod, simply change the golf course to "Wellness Gym" and select the pod you wish to book. Further details regarding pod booking can be found on the following page. Walk in use of the free weights/ cardio room is allowed, however a spot is not guaranteed without online booking.

Group Classes All group classes are limited to a maximum of 8 members per class. All gym access including group fitness classes must be booked by contacting a member of the Weston Wellness team at wellness@westongolfcc.com. Classes are designed so that members are able to maintain a distance of 6 ft from each other.

POD BOOKING SCHEDULE Wellness Gym Pods can be booked using the online tee time booking system, simply set the golf course to "Wellness Gym" to view and book available pods. Walk in access to the Wellness Gym is permitted daily from 9:00am until 5:00pm to a maximum of 10 members. Wellness Gym access between the hours of 6:30am - 9:00am (Pods 1 & 2) and 5:00pm 8:30pm (Pods 11, 12 & 13) MUST be pre-booked online, no walk in members will be permitted during these times. Cleaning & Safety Practices: The Wellness centre will close hourly for 10 minutes to allow for cleaning. Members are asked to respect the current time limitations. During the 10 minutes hourly closure the Wellness Centre will be cleaned using an EPA registered and Health Canada certified hospital disinfectant. Members must disinfect and wipe down all equipment after use. Disinfection stations will be located around the centre. Members must practice social distancing and maintain a distance of 6ft from each other while in the Wellness Centre. Small/ loose equipment must be placed in the designated bins after each use. Masks must be worn when entering and exiting the Wellness Centre Members are asked to keep masks on while moving around the free weights/ cardio room or moving from one machine to another. Masks can only be removed once you have begun using the machine/begin your set.. Please note that towels will NOT be provided in The Wellness Centre given the current COVID environment. Members are asked to please bring their own towels and water bottles. A water station is located inside The Wellness Centre. Members must abide by the health & safety measures outlined by the club. Members that do not follow these measures will be asked to leave the centre in order to preserve the safety of others.

Ariana Krmec INSTRUCTOR

Ariana has an intense devotion to physical fitness, having played competitive hockey and soccer at a provincial level throughout her life. She obtained her degree from the University Of Toronto - Rotman Commerce with a specialization in Management, a concentration in Marketing & Leadership, and a minor in Economics. Knowing that health and wellness was her true calling, Ariana received her personal training certificate, TPI Level 1 for Golf Fitness, as well as several other certifications. She has been a personal trainer for five years now, teaching Golf Fitness classes at the Weston Golf & Country Club for over two years. Ariana has absolutely fallen in love with the process of transforming people's lives through fitness over the last five years. She enjoys ensuring that clients are not only living a healthier life but are achieving sustainable, long term results. As a client of Ariana, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated trainer who offers a wealth of fitness knowledge and will make you just as passionate about your own journey with health and fitness!

This total body conditioning class is designed to help improve and strengthen specific muscle groups to enhance your golf game. This includes a focus on the physical limitations that translate into your swing and how they affect your body pre and post round as these restrictions can create physical and mental stress for golfers of all skills levels. By attending this powerhouse class regularly, you will be sure to notice improvements on and off the course!

What is HIIT exactly? HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. This style of training gives you allout bursts of exercise, followed by short periods of active recovery. This allows for a sustained increase in heart rate over the course of the hour, resulting in a higher calorific burn in less time. Â This total body workout is a sure way for you to boost your metabolism, while creating a fun atmosphere. Your instructor is there to assist with any modifications required to meet your physical limitations and provide you with the best overall workout.


Dunia Fuentos-Pino INSTRUCTOR

Dunia has always had a passion for dancing and aerobics. As a teenager, Dunia performed in Cuba as a member of the Cuban Junior Elite Aerobics and Dance Team. When faced with some difficulties in her personal life, Dunia decided to sign up for Zumba Class in her local area. Almost instantly she fell in love with Zumba and made the decision to make it a priority in her life. Dunia is a strong believer that health and well-being is the key to a happy life, and Zumba provides exactly that! After obtaining the required qualifications, Dunia began teaching classes in her community. Zumba has brought so much happiness to Dunia’s life and has allowed her to share that joy and happiness with others. Her goal is to provide you with an environment where you feel empowered and confident while getting in a heck of a workout! If you want a fun, lively, and passionate class Zumba is the right choice for you!

Class: ZUMBA FITNESS: Zumba Fitness is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance class, that takes the "work" out of workout. By mixing low-intensity and high-intensity cardio intervals this is a great calorie burning dance party! Once the rhythms take over, you will see why this Zumba® Fitness is called exercise in disguise. Combining all elements of fitness such as cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, Zumba is truly a total body work out, not to mention a serious dose of fun!


Claudine LaRochelle INSTRUCTOR

Claudine’s yoga journey began almost 18 years ago while suffering from shoulder and hip pains. After a few months of practice, Claudine noticed changes not only to her physical state but also to her mental wellbeing. She felt focused, present, and better equipped to manage the day to day challenges in her personal and work life. Having experienced the positive impact of yoga, Claudine decided to leave her corporate job and start a therapeutic yoga practice in order to help other people suffering in a similar manner. Claudine began to narrow her focus to golfers as she found that many of them would push through their pain in order to play the sport they loved. Through numerous techniques such as structural alignment, golf biometrics, and golf psychology Claudine found that she was able to improve performance and mental strength in many of her clients. Claudine’s unique yoga class creates a fun and focused environment that has been specifically developed for private clubs. This program is a sure way to improve your physical and mental strength, flexibility, cardio, and stability.

Class: YOGA: Yoga and golf are the perfect combination; each have a focus on physical and mental stability. This hour-long yoga class is designed to help you improve your game and find balance both on and off the course. This class will focus on improving your core stability to increase your golf swing, increase your range of motion, build awareness of muscular imbalances, and prevent injury. Every session is well-suited to beginners and more experienced participants alike. Claudine provides modifications to make sure all poses match the needs of who is in the room.
