Pioneers exercise an independent judgment, often challenging conventional wisdom, using their ingenuity to come up with new ideas, inventions, or ways to excel. They are risk takers and entrepreneurs who have the courage to travel down new roads and into perilous territory to reach their goals. “The Chamber was thrilled with the exceptional caliber of nominees that we’ve received this year. These nominees are the types of outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that embody the Chamber and make Westmoreland County a great place to live and work,” said Dan DeBone, President & CEO of the Chamber. “The recipients as well as the nominees are all winners, as is Westmoreland County for having them as a part of our community.”

With broadband access, children can participate in online learning, residents can access healthcare, businesses can expand operations, and families can be better connected. Fast, affordable, and reliable Internet service is unavailable in parts of 65% of Westmoreland County municipalities, yet it is needed to thrive in today’s virtual world. That’s why your participation in the county’s Internet Survey and Speed Test is critical. To ensure accurate speed test data, the resident or business owner must take the survey from their Wi Fi to test the Internet speed from that location. Countywide participation will directly contribute to ensuring that all parts of Westmoreland County are connected.

Access to high speed Internet is no longer a luxury, it’s a necessity.

The survey is part of Westmoreland County Planning and Development’s Broadband Data Collection and Feasibility Study which will identify homes and businesses with limited or no broadband access. These locations will be inventoried based on Federal locationswhereboundariesCommissionCommunications(FCC)data, ofcensusblocksservicelikelyends, andthataredistantfrom roads and other communities. The county has contracted with Michael Baker International to perform this inventory. Two field teams driving Michael Baker International vehicles will place door hangers at the entryway of locations being surveyed for low connectivity. Take the Internet Survey and Speed Test to help close the digital divide and get your home or business connected. Why Use D-Bug Waterproofing? Why Do Basements Leak? How To Remedy a Basement Leak with Interior French Drain Installation of an interior french drain relieves hydrostatic water pressure at the base of the foundation and under the basement floor. The french drain itself will eliminate water seepage under the footer, where the block touches the footer and it drains the water out of the foundation by applying weep holes to the block. 1) How many years in business .......................... 80 yrs. 2) Reference list...........................................................
